You only have a certain amount of luck...
Shart in a Jar:
Accessory
Crafting Material
This item is obtained randomly. When the Fart in a Jar is equipped and the player double jumps, it has a 1/150 chance to turn into the Shart in a Jar, this works similarly to music boxes. This will look like a regular jar but with brown, smeared all over. Yeah graphic.
Obviously though, we need a balloon variant so...
Shart in a Balloon:
Accessory
1 Shiny Red Balloon + 1 Shart in a Jar = 1 Shart in a Balloon

If I had to pick a suggestion and make it an official one over any other suggestion, and then never updating Terraria again, this would be the suggestion.

Personally I think shart in a jar takes it one step too far, I'm just stating my opinion so there's no reason to argue with me.

I agree with Gmayor here, 
1.3. We need this. They should add only this and just call it the 2.0 update.

Although I wouldn't really care since I never touched the fart in a jar, I think something like this would be better as a mod item.

Just saying, would you rather have 1000 new items, 10 new bosses and a new biome or this one? Yes, it is funny, but I would prefer you craft it with Ichor and Mud. Also, would it change the fart?

Ichor? ? Anyway yes, it will look like a regular fart but with brown bits.

This is a pretty funny idea. But like @MegaMage314 said, it would be better as a mod item. I wouldn't mind this to be added, but it wouldn't really make alot of difference if it would.

I think this goes a bit to far... plus it makes it more difficult to use the fart in a jar as it would add a possible fifth jump and then possibly cause you to loose it part way...
(personally I want to see the fart in a jar added to the bundle of balloons... now with a stinky green surprise...
